Connect your own WhatsApp number

Your customers can get their booking messages from your own WhatsApp Business number instead of razza’s. You keep chatting from the WhatsApp Business app on your phone as before, and the messages razza sends show in the same chats.

Before you start

• The number runs on the WhatsApp Business app, not personal WhatsApp, updated to the latest version.
• The phone with that number is with you, because you confirm the connection on it.
• You have a Facebook account that manages your business on Meta. You can also create one during the signup.
• The number is not connected to another business on razza.
• You have about 5 minutes.

Connect your number

1. Open Settings and the WhatsApp number tab.
2. Select Connect my number. A signup window opens.
3. Choose “Continue with Facebook”, log in, enter your number, then choose your business.
4. The window shows an access code. Copy it.
5. On your phone, open the message from Facebook in the WhatsApp Business app and tap Connect.
6. Choose whether to share chat history and tap Confirm. Choose to enter a code, then enter the access code.
7. Go back to the signup window and select Next until it finishes.

To see each screen before you start, select See how it works. If you stopped using this number on razza earlier, no window opens and setup starts straight away.

Then what

The tab updates by itself: it shows Finishing setup while razza finishes the setup, which usually takes a few minutes, then Connected with your number. You can leave the page, and razza sends you a notification when your number is ready.

Connecting logs out WhatsApp on your linked devices, such as a computer. Link them again from Linked devices in the WhatsApp Business app. WhatsApp for Windows is not supported, so use WhatsApp Web there.

razza then adds its ready-made messages to your number, and Meta reviews each one before it can go from there. Your messages on your own number shows where each one stands and what customers get meanwhile.

How messages from your number are counted

razza counts the messages it sends from your number against your plan’s included WhatsApp messages, which your number shares with razza’s, so switching numbers during a month adds none. Beyond them, razza pays for each message from your WhatsApp balance at your number’s price, shown on Billing. Messages WhatsApp could not deliver cost nothing, and chats you write yourself in the WhatsApp Business app are not counted.

Your own WhatsApp number, on the WhatsApp notifications tab, shows how many of your number’s messages were Included and how many From balance.

If it doesn’t work

• No window opened. Your browser blocked it. Select Open the signup window on the tab.
• You finished but the tab has not changed. Check that you selected Next in the signup window until it finished, then select I have finished. Confirming can take a few minutes.
• The phone says “Finish setting up”. The signup window was not finished. Go back to it and select Next. If you closed it, remove the connection in the WhatsApp Business app under Settings, Account, Business Platform, wait 15 minutes, then select Open the signup window again on the tab.
• The number is already connected to another business on razza. A number serves one business. Contact support if it belongs to yours.
• Setup did not finish within 24 hours. Meta allows 24 hours. Remove the connection in the WhatsApp Business app under Settings, Account, Business Platform, then select Reconnect on the tab, or Start again if it still shows Finishing setup.
