Sell a product

A product sale stands apart from bookings: it has its own invoice, and it never counts toward a team member’s services.

Steps

1. Open Product sales and select New sale.
2. Make sure the branch selector shows the selling branch; on all branches, razza asks you to choose a Branch.
3. Search by name, barcode or SKU, and select each product to add it to the Cart.
4. Set each quantity with the − and + buttons.
5. Under Payment, select Pay the rest and choose the payment method.
6. Select Complete sale.

To scan, click in the search box first: the scanner types the code there. Check the cart after every scan: if the product is not in it, select it from the list; if a different product was added, remove it.

Customer, seller and discount

The customer and the discount are optional.

• Customer: search for them, or leave it empty for a walk-in. Pick the customer to add the sale to their Total Spent.
• Sold by: razza fills in your name when you are on the branch’s team. You can choose someone else but not clear it. It records who made the sale and never counts toward their services or bookings.
• Discount: a Percentage % or a Fixed amount off the whole sale. It has to leave something to pay.

Paying

Gift cards and online payment cannot pay for a sale; every other payment method can. Pay the rest fills in what is left at that moment, so set any discount first. If Over the total by shows, remove the payment and select Pay the rest again. To split the total, select Add payment for each part. The amounts must add up to the total exactly: razza completes the sale only when Left to pay reaches ﷼ 0.00.

Once the sale is complete

razza takes the products out of the branch’s stock. It lets you sell more than the stock shows, and warns you when a count falls below zero. A product whose stock is not tracked at the branch starts a count there below zero, so razza warns you.

The receipt button reads Preparing the receipt… until razza has issued the sale’s invoice, then Print receipt. You can also print it later: open the sale in Product sales and select Receipt.

When your business uses WhatsApp, select Send on WhatsApp to send the invoice. For a walk-in, or a customer with no mobile number on file, razza asks for the number first and uses it for this message only, without saving it. If your business sends final invoices on WhatsApp automatically, the button does not appear: razza sends the invoice by itself to a customer with a mobile number, after the delay you chose.

Where the sale shows

• Product sales, which opens on today’s sales. Set the dates to cover the day you want, then search by sale number, customer or product if you need to.
• Reconciliation, with your other payments. Use Show to see only Bookings or only Product sales.
• The Product sales card in Analytics, for anyone who can see both reports and prices.
• E-Invoices, and the customer’s Total Spent.

Correcting a sale

A sale cannot be edited. To correct one, refund it and sell again.
