Set up gift cards
Gift cards let customers buy an amount or a service on your booking site, pay for it online, and send it to someone, who spends it on a booking with you. Once razza switches gift cards on for your business, you set them up here and choose when they go on sale.
Watch how it is done
- Open Gift cards and select Start setup or Continue setup.
- In Online payments, select Set up online payments if online payments are not set up yet.
- In What you'll sell, choose Value card, Service card, or both.
- In Amounts & services, set the amounts buyers can pick and the services they can gift.
- In Card designs, change the template’s colors, pattern and wording if you like, then select Save design.
- In Delivery & terms, set how long a card lasts, then read the terms.
- Select Go live.
Select Next to move on. razza saves each change as you go, and saves a design or terms you are still editing before Save and exit, Back or a step link takes you elsewhere. To carry on later, open Gift cards and select the setup button again. Only the owner, or someone with Can manage payments, sees Set up online payments.
What happens when you go live
Section titled “What happens when you go live”Watch how it is done
Go live works only once online payments are active and steps 3 to 6 are done. While online payments are being verified, finish the other steps and come back to go live.
Once live, your booking site shows a gift cards button, and razza gives you the link to share with your customers. razza notifies the owner of every card sold. To follow them, see Sold gift cards.
What each setting does
Section titled “What each setting does”- Value card: buyers pick one of the amounts you list, up to 8. They can also type their own amount between Lowest and Highest, unless you switch off Let buyers choose their own amount. Whatever the recipient does not spend stays on the card.
- Service card: worth one service or package, at its booking site price on the day the card is bought, discount included. Only services and packages with a fixed price can be gifted. If the price goes up later, the recipient pays only the difference.
- How long a card lasts: 6, 12 or 24 months from the day the card is paid for.
- Let buyers schedule delivery: the buyer picks the day the card arrives, up to the number of days ahead you set.
- Customers can use gift cards when booking online: leave it on. razza asks before switching it off, because while it is off, nobody can spend a card on your booking site, including cards already sold, and your team can take them at checkout only if razza has switched that on for your business.
- Terms: razza writes them in Arabic and English from your settings, and buyers agree to them before paying. Until you edit them, razza rewrites them by itself whenever a setting they mention changes.
Change settings after going live
Section titled “Change settings after going live”After going live, change settings from Settings and designs from Designs. A card keeps the value and validity it was bought with, so a change to amounts, services or validity applies only to cards sold after it. If you edited the terms yourself, razza leaves them as they are when a setting changes: check they still match and save them, or select Regenerate from settings, which asks before replacing your edits.
Pause sales
Section titled “Pause sales”To stop selling for a while, turn off Sell gift cards on Overview. Cards already sold can still be spent. Turn it back on to sell again.
If Gift cards is not in your menu
Section titled “If Gift cards is not in your menu”razza switches gift cards on for each business separately. Once razza switches it on, or once you are given Can manage gift cards, sign out and back in to see it in your menu.
