A discount on this booking alone, as you take the payment. To lower a service’s price for every customer, see discounting a service.

Steps

1. Open Checkout and expand Apply discount on booking.
2. Choose Percentage % or Fixed amount.
3. Enter the value. The Discount line and the new total update as you type.
4. Record the payment and choose Complete Checkout.

What it does to the amount

razza takes the discount off the amount the customer pays. If your business is registered for VAT, that amount includes it, so the VAT falls with the discount. Take 10% off ﷼ 200.00 and the customer pays ﷼ 180.00, and razza invoices ﷼ 180.00.

How razza splits it across services

razza shares the discount across the booking’s services in proportion to the price each one has at checkout. Take 10% off a booking with a ﷼ 200.00 service and a ﷼ 100.00 one, and razza takes ﷼ 20.00 off the first and ﷼ 10.00 off the second.

Where the discount shows

The booking page shows the discount under each service whose final price ends up below its estimate, with the difference between the two, the name of whoever ran the checkout, and a reason razza writes itself: the percentage you entered, or Manual discount for a fixed amount. A service you priced above its estimate at checkout still takes its share, but shows no discount line.

The invoice lists each service at its reduced price, and razza counts that reduced price in the Total Value Generated of the team member who performed it.

Notes

• Reason for discount (optional) is a separate box. It appears on a service line only when you type a price below the estimate for that service.
• Loyalty points redeemed in the same checkout lower the total as well, and razza shares them across the services the same way. razza caps the discount so the two together never take the booking below zero.

If razza refuses the checkout

The discounted total cannot fall below what has been paid, including a deposit and any payment you added in this checkout. If it does, razza refuses the checkout with Payments exceed the total amount due.. Lower the discount until the total is at least what was already paid. If you added the payment before the discount, it keeps the old amount: remove it, select Pay remaining again, and choose its payment method.
