Set up product sales

Product sales let your team sell the products you stock to customers at the counter, without a booking.

Mark a product for sale

Only the owner can do this.

1. Open Inventory, then the Catalog tab.
2. Select Edit product on the product, or Add product for a new one.
3. Check that Default unit is pcs, box, bottle or pack: only these can be sold.
4. Tick Sold to customers.
5. Enter the Selling price: what a customer pays for one, VAT included.
6. Select Save, or Create product for a new product.

Once the product is saved

It appears on the new sale screen at its selling price, with its stock at the selling branch if you track it there. The price is the same at every branch. If you change it later, the next sale uses the new price and past sales keep the one they were sold at.

A product measured by volume or weight cannot be sold, so razza greys out Sold to customers for it. Changing the unit of a product that already has stock does not convert its count, so for supplies you measure in ml or g, add the retail item as a separate product. To stop selling a product, untick the box.

Let your team sell

As the owner, you can sell without any permission. A team member needs Can sell products, which you give in team permissions. With it, they can sell and see the sales made at their own branch.

Refunds also need Can manage payments, and only the owner can give it. A team member with Can manage team can pass on Can sell products only if they hold it themselves.

If Product sales is not in the menu

It appears in the side menu for the owner and for team members with Can sell products. If the owner does not see it either, ask razza to switch the feature on for your business, then sign out and back in. If the new sale screen then lists no products, none is marked for sale yet, or the product or its stock at the selling branch has been deactivated.
