Rehearse before going live

Want to see the connection work before you commit to it? Rehearse it on the simulation environment. The step is entirely optional, and it leaves your live setup alone.

  1. In Fatoora, open “FATOORA Portal Simulation” at the top, onboard a new solution unit or device, and copy the code.
  2. Open Settings, then the E-invoicing (ZATCA) tab.
  3. Scroll to Test on simulation (optional), just below Activation code (OTP).
  4. Paste the code into Simulation OTP.
  5. Select Run simulation test.

Simulation test passed appears, meaning ZATCA’s simulation accepted your business details as razza sends them. One test covers your whole business, with nothing to repeat branch by branch.

razza saves nothing from the test, and your live connection stays as it is. To go live, connect with a code from the production portal.

The message starts Simulation test failed, followed by the reason:

  • The activation code is invalid or expired. For example, it came from the production portal, was mistyped or already used, or has expired. Generate a fresh one in the simulation portal and use it straight away.
  • Complete your business address first. Fill in and save all five address fields in your tax details, with a four-digit building number and a five-digit postal code, then run the test again.
  • Complete your business details. The VAT number, CR number, legal name in Arabic or English, or address printed on your invoices is missing. Enter the Arabic legal name in your tax details, and ask razza to add the rest, which you cannot edit yourself.
  • ZATCA rejected the test invoice, and the activation code is now used up. Check your address in your tax details, then run the test again with a fresh code from the simulation portal. If the problem is your CR or another detail you cannot edit, contact razza.
  • ZATCA did not issue the compliance certificate, or the production certificate. Generate a fresh code in the simulation portal and run the test again. If it keeps failing, contact support.
  • The connection to ZATCA dropped after the activation code was used. Generate a fresh code in the simulation portal and run the test again.
  • Could not complete the connection to ZATCA. Run the test again. If it keeps failing, contact support.

When the reason says the code is used up or can’t be used again, razza empties Simulation OTP, and Run simulation test stays disabled until you paste a fresh code.
